Wheyhouse Signature Breakfast Bircher

WHEYHOUSE SIGNATURE BREAKFAST BIRCHER


Best use: breakfast , snack
Preparation time: 5 minutes

Those who have had the pleasure of sampling this will vouch for its deliciousness. Such a simple recipe that reaps great rewards throughout the week - low cost, almost no effort needed and very nutritious!

INGREDIENTS

  • 150g Rolled Oat
  • 30g Pumpkin Seeds
  • 30g Wheyhouse Organic Chia Seeds
  • 30g Dried Cranberries
  • 350ml Coconut Milk
  • ½ Pear - Grated
  • 1 Table Spoon Honey
  • Cinnamon to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Using a large mixing bowl, add oats, chia, cranberry, pumpkin seeds and coconut milk. Set aside in fridge and allow to soak.
  2. Remove and check after 1 - 1.5 hours and see consistency of mixture – add more chia seeds/oats to thicken or coconut milk to dilute. Place back in fridge and leave overnight.
  3. Remove from fridge, add pear, honey and cinnamon to taste. Adjust as preferred.

Tips: I will always triple the mix and fill 5 – 6  mason jars (available at K-Mart) for breakfasts or morning tea during the week. Such a great, healthy, tasty and convenient recipe! An absolute staple.
